Job Responsibilities
Provides input, with an emphasis on operational terms, payment terms and trade finance requirements, into the purchase and sales contracting processes. Identify and evaluate potential operational issues prior execution that arise from the different contractual terms between purchase and sales contracts and propose resolutions to mitigate such operational risks. Responsible for the post-contracting coordination of the sales operations’ activities for purchase and sales contracts and ensure smooth execution of shipments. Provide timely shipping instructions to suppliers and/or logistics to ensure timely release of shipping documents and ensure all shipping documentation are accurate and in order. Continuous review and assess ways to maximize commodity selling efficiency and minimize risks. Have a in depth understanding for commodities and their sales and purchase. Manage internal and external stakeholders’ communications and deliver high service level in terms of supplier and customer relationships, logistics requirements, documentation requirements and ad hoc reasonable requirements. Responsible for working with the Superintendent – Sales to ensure overdue receivables are followed up with suppliers/customers in the event they are overdue. Maintain accurate and complete electronic scanned documents filling within relevant systems. Responsible for all logistics paperwork to ensure that no delays occur through paperwork errors
Job Requirements
Experience/knowledge in logistics and supply chain management of commodities (prefers in bulk commodities). Previous trader experience in Commodities; gold and copper experience highly desirable Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce or Shipping/Logistics Management preferred, however those without the required qualifications but with good experience may be considered High level of commercial acumen and attention to detail. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills written and verbal (both English and Chinese). Proactive, disciplined, organized approach to work. Good problem-solving skills. Strong ability to work multiple parties from a variety of backgrounds, constructively engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
