Job Responsibilities
1. assisting the editorial board in setting goals and working on achieving them; 2. rewriting and copy-editing stories written by staff and from other media resources; 3. writing dynamic headlines, reading proofs and contributing ideas in story selection and layout and so on; 4. writing stories, columns, reviews and other assignments may be required.
Job Requirements
- Be an excellent team person who can generate ideas and think creatively, be able to rewrite totally if needed and to mentor junior staff; - English Native Speaker - Ideally be working or have worked in a position of responsibility and understand what leadership entails; - Have good news judgment and be able to work on shifts for different pages, sometimes under deadline, and usually have the last word before the page is sent to print; - Have had at least 2 year's editing experience working on editing news pages and be familiar with industry software; - Have a Bachelor's degree or above in journalism or other related fields
