Job Responsibilities

岗位职责： 1.根据科研发展趋势或学者/学术机构的需求，寻求合作机会，创办新期刊； 2.参与或协助期刊管理工作，例如吸引优质稿源、拓展编委团队以及市场宣传，推进出刊工作； 3.与国内外期刊主编、编委成员、作者及审稿人建立良好沟通，做好期刊的同行评审工作； 4.负责期刊的出版质量控制，对文章进行排版校对，确保文章及时正确上线； 5.协助出版人/编辑和期刊编委团队实现期刊的高质量发展； 6.完成领导交办的其他任务。 1.Be responsible for the organization of the peer-review process and editorial decision-making from submission until acceptance for publication and export to production-evaluation and triage of submitted manuscripts, reviewer selection, assessment of reviewer reports and revised submissions, and final decision (acceptance or referral and transfer to relevant sister journals). 2.Be an active member of a global editorial team and collaborate with other international colleagues on a daily basis. 3.Have many (online) interactions with our authors and reviewers – researchers from all over the world. 4.Be involved in the strategic acquisition of new content for our journals – for instance, commissioning of invited articles and planning of special issues or series. 5.Contribute to (cross-functional/departmental) workflow optimization project work groups. 6.Altogether, gain on-the-job experience in many different aspects of scholarly publishing.

Job Requirements

任职要求： 1. 硕士及以上学历，计算机、材料、工程、生物、农林、医药等理工科相关专业背景优先； 2. 具有3年以上英文学术期刊编辑相关工作经验或新期刊创建工作经验； 3. 具有良好的人际沟通能力； 4. 热爱学术出版行业，对英文学术期刊领域认知有一定敏感性度； 5. 有很强的学习能力，能使用英文作为工作语言，有团队合作精神。 1.Have a Master’s Degree or other relevant education. 2.Have more than 3 years of English journal publications experience. 3.Have a passion for science and its communication and are prepared to broaden their knowledge by working across a spectrum of research areas. 4.Have a good understanding of the peer-review process (for example, have been previously involved as an editor, author, or reviewer). 5.Are self-motivated, diplomatic, and flexible, have outstanding organizational, time management, and communication skills, and have excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal).
