Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities : Supply Planning & Inventory Management: Actively participates and establishes partnerships to support the planning process. Support financial and sales forecasting cycle, providing supply plans as needed. Help to improve inventory management, order fulfillment and logistics resulting in higher fill rates, on-time delivery, reduced inventory costs and increased customer satisfaction. Monitor inbound warehouse product flow and capacity constraints. Corresponds regularly with sales and marketing department regarding order status and provides updates as required. Create and maintain production orders in ERP when necessary and communicate with production to ensure on time assembly of special customer orders. Responsible for maintaining and updating SOP documentation as needed. Production and Material Planning : Developing and implementing material production scheduling/planning systems to meet customer demand while managing operational and capacity constraints Developing forecasts for raw material needs by considering purchases, production rates, and maintenance schedules Coordinating with stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshooting complex issues as necessary Maintaining supplier relationships and negotiating lead times Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc. Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products Directing production planning and scheduling Directing production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage Coordinating production workflow for one or multiple products Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay Determining manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand Assigning workers and other staff to particular production operations Scheduling shift according to production needs Vendor Management: Interacts and provides direction to various vendors and factories, maintaining a collaborative business relationship. Monitor suppliers and make join-efforts to create supplier scorecards Collaborate with vendors on delivery dates, capacity issues and production flow Leadership: Manage staff, assign work, monitor activities, evaluate performance and manage escalated/critical issues. Administer employment actions, provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development. Support the development and management of department policies and procedures. Responsible to provide visibility of material in-out flow per demand plan , and present to Sales & Operations, Planning meeting for top management review. Manage and provide direction to the PC, MC and buyers to assess supply chain data, historical information, material data, inventory movement, and other data as needed to evaluate large-scale business changes. Manage and provide direction to the logistic and sales people to ensure the on-time delivery of new products, finished goods, and warranty parts. Introduce and lead cost-saving initiatives as continuous improvement projects. Other Duties as Assigned: Follow internal controls and company policies set by Astera Manufacturing limited Contribute to the success of Astera manufacturing limited. by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned. Job Requirements
Qualifications and Competences Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or closely related field. Experience and best practice of lean supply chain, such as, ABCXYZ, VSM, levelling production, Kanban, Pull system, PFEP, VMI. Experience of supply chain management in mechanical or electronic manufacturing industry. Knowledge of ERP systems as well as Spreadsheet and Data Base applications. Proven successful experience in an inventory management and/or planning, MRP, forecasting, or closely related role. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and English communication skills . Data Analysis: use data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize supply chain operations Flexibility: The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and adjust plans accordingly is important for a Supply Chain Manager. Be able to respond quickly to unexpected events, such as supply chain disruptions or changes in customer demand Project Management: Strong project management skills can help a Supply Chain Manager to effectively manage complex supply chain projects, such as new product launches or process improvements. They should be able to plan, execute, and monitor projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget Strategic Thinking: be able to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to capitalize on them Soft skills required: Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and problem-solving skills Can work under pressure Negotiation skills
