Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of R&D to lead CCT value center’s research and development efforts. The incumbent will be responsible for driving innovation, managing the development lifecycle, and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge products and solutions. Responsible for all the new product design strategy planning and engineering duties, along with product transfer and localization to meet the market and customer requirements. Lead the R&D Team: • Manage and mentor a team of talented engineers and researchers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. • Provide technical guidance, support, and direction to ensure the team’s success in developing high-quality products and solutions. • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team. Develop R&D Strategies: • Define R&D roadmap, aligning it with overall business objectives and market trends. • Identify emerging technologies, industry trends, and customer needs to drive innovation and stay ahead of the competition. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and business development, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of R&D strategies. Drive Product Development: • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to commercialization. • Set clear goals, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring efficient execution and timely product launches. • Monitor and evaluate project progress, mitigating risks, and making necessary adjustment to ensure successful product delivery. Foster Collaboration and Partnerships: • Collaborate with external partners, research institutions, and industry experts to leverage their expertise and drive collaborative research initiatives. • Identify potential strategic partnerships and technology licensing opportunities to enhance the company’s R&D capabilities.
Job Requirements
• Master’s degree in relevant technical field, e.g., connectors and cable assembly. • Proven track record of successfully leading R&D teams and delivering innovative products/solutions in relevant domain. • Strong technical expertise with strategic mindset with the ability to translate market trends and customer needs into actionable strategies. • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet project deadlines. • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. • The ideal candidate has proven record to embrace and align with ITT Culture and Values and DNA (see above 10 pillars of ITT Culture) S/he will be a dynamic and successful leader who has demonstrated the ability to transform businesses, “live and own” the business in all its aspects and is passionate and engaged in constantly “raising the bar” for self and team to deliver a better growth with high commitment and dedication. Position based in Shenzhen (preferred).
