Job Responsibilities

1. **Policy Analysis**: Conducting comprehensive analysis of global policies and regulations relevant to your area of expertise. This involves examining existing policies, identifying trends, assessing their effectiveness, and making recommendations for improvement. 2. **Data Collection and Research**: Gathering relevant data from various sources including government reports, academic papers, think tank publications, and international organizations. Utilizing qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions. 3. **Literature Review**: Reviewing existing literature and research studies related to global policies and their implications. Summarizing key findings, identifying gaps in knowledge, and assessing the validity and reliability of research. 4. **Policy Development**: Assisting in the development of new policies or revisions to existing policies based on research findings and analysis. Collaborating with policymakers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to formulate evidence-based policy recommendations. 5. **Report Writing**: Preparing research reports, policy briefs, white papers, and other documents to communicate research findings and policy recommendations. Ensuring that reports are clear, concise, and accessible to diverse audiences. 6. **Policy Advocacy**: Advocating for policy changes and reforms by engaging with policymakers, government officials, NGOs, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders. Presenting research findings, participating in policy discussions, and contributing to public debates on key issues. 7. **Monitoring and Evaluation**: Monitoring the implementation of policies and assessing their impact over time. Evaluating the effectiveness of policies in achieving their intended objectives and outcomes. Identifying areas of success and areas needing improvement. 8. **International Collaboration**: Collaborating with researchers, policymakers, and organizations from around the world to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and address global challenges. Participating in international conferences, workshops, and collaborative research projects. 9. **Policy Communication**: Communicating research findings and policy recommendations through various channels including presentations, publications, social media, and public events. Tailoring communication strategies to reach diverse audiences and maximise impact. 10. **Ethical Considerations**: Adhering to ethical standards and guidelines in conducting research, handling data, and communicating findings. Ensuring that research is conducted with integrity, transparency, and respect for confidentiality and privacy.

Job Requirements

1. Education: A bachelor's degree is usually the minimum requirement for entry-level positions in policy research. However, many employers prefer candidates with advanced degrees such as a Master's or Ph.D. in fields such as public policy, political science, international relations, economics, sociology, or a related field. 2. Research Skills: Strong research skills are essential for a global policy researcher.
