Job Responsibilities
1. Teach pre-school classes, plan lesson activities and prepare materials based on the provided curriculum 2. Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health 3. Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs 4. Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and policies and procedures to maintain order among students 5. Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play 6. Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling 7. Confer with parents, teachers, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral or academic problems 8. Administer standardized ability and achievement tests, and interpret results to determine children's developmental levels and needs 9. Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guests, or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities 10. Respect, appreciate and understand differences in learning and school culture 11. Attend staff meetings, workdays and professional development activities as assigned or recommended 12. Contribute to afterschool activities on a regular basis 13. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Head of Department
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree or above; Education major 2. 2 years of teaching experience 3. Teaching Credential/License required 4. TESL/TEFL Certificate over 100 hours 5. TEFL/TESOL certification minimum (CELTA/DELTA/PGCE/QTS preferred) 6. Experience working with early childhood students, with IB PYP curriculum or Reggio familiarity preferred 7. Have an understanding and ability to teach pupils of all abilities
