The company is currently seeking consultants and researchers with a background in policy analysis to join their team of expats. Position : Foreign military policy analyst and researcher Job Responsibilities Conducting thorough research on global military capabilities, defense policies, and strategic doctrines of foreign countries and regions. Analyzing military trends, developments, and threats to assess their implications for national security and international relations. Assessing existing military policies, defense strategies, and security alliances. Evaluating their effectiveness in achieving national security objectives and providing recommendations for improvements or adjustments. Contributing to the development of defense plans and strategies based on geopolitical assessments, threat analyses, and military capability evaluations. Providing input on force structure, military deployments, and resource allocations. Evaluating the military capabilities of foreign countries, including their defense budgets, technological advancements, and force projection capabilities. Assessing potential military threats and challenges. Utilizing intelligence reports, satellite imagery, and other sources to analyze military activities, deployments, and intentions of foreign countries. Providing assessments and forecasts based on intelligence findings. Developing scenarios and conducting contingency planning exercises to prepare for potential military crises, conflicts, or operations. Assessing the impact of various scenarios on national security and foreign policy objectives. Collaborating with military planners, diplomats, intelligence analysts, and policymakers to ensure a cohesive approach to military policy and national security strategies. Participating in inter-agency meetings and working groups to integrate military perspectives into broader policy frameworks. Preparing clear and concise briefings, reports, and presentations for senior military officials, policymakers, and stakeholders. Communicating complex military analysis, policy recommendations, and strategic assessments effectively. Understanding the diplomatic implications of military actions and policies. Providing insights on how military activities can influence diplomatic relations, international perceptions, and alliances. Providing real-time analysis and recommendations during military crises, conflicts, or emergencies. Supporting decision-makers with timely assessments of military threats, options for response, and implications for foreign policy. Considering ethical principles and international legal frameworks in military policy analysis and recommendations. Upholding human rights standards and international norms in military operations and engagements. Engaging with the public, media, and academic communities to explain and advocate for military policy positions. Participating in public debates, conferences, and forums on defense and security issues.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements and Qualifications A strong educational background is essential, typically with a degree in international relations, political science, security studies, military studies, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree,but prefer candidates with master’s or doctoral degrees specializing in defense policy, military strategy, or international security. Deep understanding of military capabilities, strategies, doctrines, and defense policies of various countries and regions. Knowledge of military history, international security issues, and defense economics is highly beneficial. Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information from diverse sources such as academic literature, government reports, intelligence assessments, and military publications. Strong analytical skills to assess complex military issues, evaluate defense policies and strategies, and identify trends, patterns, and implications for national security and international relations. Experience or knowledge in analyzing military policies, defense strategies, and security alliances. Understanding of intelligence processes and methodologies. Ability to interpret intelligence reports, assess military capabilities, analyze threat assessments, and provide actionable insights for decision-makers. Ability to think strategically and critically about military and defense issues. Capability to anticipate future challenges, assess risks, and propose effective solutions or responses. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex military analysis, policy recommendations, and strategic assessments clearly and persuasively. Experience in preparing reports, briefings, and presentations for senior officials, policymakers, and stakeholders. Ability to integrate insights from various disciplines such as political science, economics, law, sociology, and regional studies into military policy analysis. Understanding how different factors influence defense policies and international security dynamics. Practical experience through internships, research assistant ships, or work in related fields (e.g., defense agencies, think tanks, international organizations) Experience in military or defense-related roles, including military service, may also be beneficial.
