Overview

On May 20, 2000, The Affiliated Middle School of Peking University Shenzhen Nanshan Branch was founded at the foot of the majestic Nanshan Mountain, located on the left bank of the charming Pearl River estuary. It was a basic education development project of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Industry, a University-Research Base jointly established by Peking University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Shenzhen Municipal Government. What was founded was a state-owned, private boarding school that integrates primary, junior high, and senior high school established by the Nanshan District Education Bureau of Shenzhen and the affiliated high School of Peking University. At the beginning of its establishment, President Xu Zhihong of Peking University wrote an inscription on the theme of "Inheriting the tradition of Peking University and establishing a first-class school". Today, among its graduates, more than 60 students are leaving with high honors and have been admitted to the likes of the University of Cambridge, Tulane university, the University of Toronto, the University of Sydney, Waseda University and other famous overseas universities for further study. As well as this, more than two hundred students were admitted to top local universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua university, Renmin University of China, Hongkong University, etc.
