Overview

China Three Gorges University (CTGU; 三峡大学) is a provincial public university in Yichang, Hubei, China. It is affiliated with the Province of Hubei and sponsored by the provincial government. The university was established in 2000 by the merger of Wuhan Hydraulic and Electric Power University Yichang (武汉水利电力大学宜昌) and Hubei Sanxia College (湖北三峡学院). The campus occupies 200 hectares, and the total building area comprises 830,000 m2 (8,934,046 sq ft). The libraries consist of 2,000,000 volumes. 截至2017年12月，学校占地面积3000余亩，校舍总建筑面积140万平方米，教学科研仪器设备4万余台（件），设备总值达5.56亿元；图书馆馆藏纸质图书290余万册；共有全日制在校普通本科生22293人，博士、硕士研究生4266人，来华留学生1365人；拥有1个博士后科研流动站，4个一级学科博士点、25个一级学科硕士点、1个二级学科硕士点，有13个类别、23个领域硕士专业学位点；设有30个学院，72个本科专业。
