The School of Basic Medical Sciences at Peking University (Beijing, China) has been a cornerstone of excellence in basic medical education and research since its establishment in 1954. Today, it stands as a premier institution in China, comprising 16 departments (institutes), national key laboratories, and multiple internationally recognized research bases and technological platforms. Renowned for its exceptional faculty and dynamic academic environment, the school boasts 6 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, 20 recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and a Nobel laureate among its distinguished alumni.
