The woman filmed herself munching on five different types of insects as she claimed they have “high nutritional value”.

She is believed to make money out of live-streaming her eating centipedes, silkworms, scorpions, pupa and mealworms in front of viewers.

She can heard on the video clip, posted on Watermelon Video, saying: “These are good sources for traditional Chinese medicine and they are high in protein.”

But the stomach-churning sight has sparked skepticism online.

One observer said: “Does anyone else notice that she puts them in her mouth and she chews them – but she never swallows them??? Right when her mouth is the fullest and it’s time to swallow, it cuts to the next bug.”

Another added: “I gagged just imagining how the insides burst into her mouth.”

The unnamed vlogger repeatedly claims that the unusual snack “heals rheumatism”, which is a musculo-skeletal pain.

Many cultures embrace eating insects, also known as entomophagy.
