Why Do So Many Western Men Love Chinese Women?
We all know the guy whose dating history reads like a page from the Chinese Yellowpages. In fact, if you live in China, you probably know a lot of guys like this.
It’s so common that the phrase ‘Yellow Fever‘ gets thrown around like a tattered baseball on Labor Day.
Most Western men in China prefer the local women over Western women. They prefer the Kungpao Chicken over the Steak N’ Taters.
Are these men just curious? Are they attracted to exoticism? Or are there innate characteristics of Chinese women that attract Western men?
Most likely, it’s a mix of the these.
Quick Disclaimer: The qualities discussed in this article do not apply to all Chinese women, and these qualities are also present in many non-Chinese women. Women from all cultures are wonderful in their own respective ways. This article simply aims to describe certain characteristics that many Western men find attractive in Chinese women.

Exoticism
Many Western men love Chinese women for the simple fact that they perceive Chinese women to be exotic. Western culture and Chinese culture exist on opposite ends of the spectrum. Chinese women offer many qualities Western men don’t often experience back home. Their taste in food, music, and clothing differs greatly from Western women.
Also, demographically, people of Chinese ethnicity are a relatively small minority in many places. For example, American men, depending on where they are from, are accustomed to seeing Caucasian women, Hispanic women, and women of African descent, but they see Chinese women to a lesser extent. Perhaps this is one reason, beyond the cultural aspects, that Western men view Chinese women as exotic.

Femininity
Many Chinese women radiate an aura of femininity that is innately attractive to men. Everything from their body language to their clothing eminates a sense of reserved, feminine beauty.
Chinese women maintain a demure persona (in public, at least). They often cover their face when laughing and behave in other adorable ways.
In addition to this, they tend to defer more to their partner. Most Western men hate to be dominated in relationships. They want a woman to complement, not compete with, their natural strengths. For this reason, a lot of men enjoy being with a Chinese women, since they usually let the man control most aspects of daily life.
Frugality
Chinese people in general spend their money carefully. They view frugality as an important virtue.
A lot of Chinese women encourage their boyfriends and husbands to save more money. In some cases, they may even give their husband an allowance.
Although some Western men may actually not like this, others view it as an effective counter-balance to their spending habits.
Due to their frugality and business sense, Chinese women make great business partners. A lot of successful Western entrepreneurs receive help and advice from their Chinese girlfriend or wife.

Loyalty
Let this be said: If you meet a traditional Chinese girl, she will be completely loyal to you. Most Chinese girls don’t frequent bars and don’t usually socialize with other men outside of platonic relationships.
Along with this sense of loyalty, most Chinese women want to save their boyfriend’s face and would never publicly chastise him. Chinese women hold a special admiration for their man, and strongly desire his trust.
To be fair, this depends on the demographic. If you met her on TanTan or at the bar, this quality may be questionable.
Appearance
Chinese women, and Asian women in general, are considered by a lot of men to be some of the most beautiful women in the world. They have great skin, they are slim, and they age well.
Also, much of the attraction Western men feel for Chinese women goes back to the exoticism. Chinese women have physical features that differ greatly from Western women. This presents a sense of novelty in the eyes of many Western men.
These are just some of the reasons Western men love Chinese women. It’s different for each man, and some men don’t like Chinese women at all. The qualities listed above are just a summary of conversations with various Western men in China.
