1. After accessing the service page, choose Chinese Work Permit Application Status. In this step, you are required to input the number of the receipt of your application.
The photo above is an example of the receipt of the application for work permit.
2. Both typing the digits and scanning the barcode will work. If your application was submitted with the help of agents, ask for a photo or copy of the receipt. It’s better to check the status by yourself rather than to keep asking others.
5 Steps to get Chinese work permit!
There are five steps for your application to go through. Only when it reaches final approval will your Chinese work permit card be printed.
1 Document is submitted online.
It is the beginning of your application, it needs to fill in personal information online and upload scanned documents. From here, you can also check whether your agent submitted your application or not.
2 Document is checked online.
Your application will very soon be handled by an officer. If the online application information fails to meet the conditions, a one-time notification will be given. In this situation, the application is returned. The icon shown on this step is an “×”, if you fail for any reason.
3 Paper document is submitted.
If the online application is passed, applicants will be notified to submit paper copies of their materials. The Foreign Experts Bureau collects and reviews them right away at their offices.
- If the written material review reveals no problem, applicants will receive a receipt notice online.
- If the written material review fails, the Foreign Experts Bureau notifies applicants that corrections are needed if the materials are found to have any issues.
4 Paper document is checked.
The Foreign Experts Bureau does an an overall review of application materials.
- Applicants who pass the review may print out their Foreign’s Work Permit Notice online.
- Applicants who fail the review will receive denial decision, with an explanation.
For applicants who belonged to Type A in the Chinese work permit points scoring system, it will takes 5 working days for the paper-based material review to be finished, while Type B or C applicants will need to wait 10-20 working days.
5 Final approval.
Congratulations! If you’ve reached the last step, the application has been approved and the Foreign Experts Bureau will transfer the applicant’s information to different administrative departments and the Chinese work permit card will be printed out.
