According to China News, Wang serves Sichuan dishes to Chinese tourists in the country, which only started accepting them without visas in June 2016. Before the visa-free policy, less than 1,000 Chinese tourists visited Morocco annually, Wang said.
Now, he estimates there has been a six-fold increase in Chinese visitors. He opened the restaurant in January to address the needs of Chinese tourists who often find it challenging to adapt to local food.

It’s not just about Chinese tourists, however. According to Wang, people in Morocco are also excited about learning Chinese food and culture. He often receives questions about random aspects of China, which he is more than happy to answer in hopes of sharing more information about his homeland.
