The incident was captured on CCTV footage that has since gone viral and which appears to show the 59-year-old female cleaner being shoved in the back before the culprit calmly walks away.
The woman, surnamed Leung, had been standing on platform No. 5 at the Yuen Long Terminal for the Light Rail’s 761P route at about 10.30AM. The platform receives cars heading towards Tin Yat.
As he approaches her, he viciously pushes her without warning onto the train tracks below.
Without any provocation, he then savagely pushes the woman onto train tracks below.
As the sickening attack happened so quickly, the woman was unable to brace herself for the fall.
The cleaner remains motionless on the tracks as the man calmly walks away without a second glance.

Thankfully, there were no trains approaching the station and the woman was rescued from the tracks. The woman suffered injuries to her jaw and was sent to Pok Oi Hospital for treatment.
