The first episode introduced the correct procedures to save a person from drowning. After it was released on July 17, page views on video platforms Miaopai.com and QQ.com reached 10 million, while numerous social media users shared the web link.
Yu Tao, an instructor at the police station, said the short video was initially made to spread information about swimming safety in summer when school children are on vacation and face more dangers of drowning.

“The conventional way of teaching is too rigid and fails to attract the attention of children, so we thought of a more engaging way,” said Yu.
Jiang Liping, a director at the Xinbei police bureau, said all crew in the video are police officers and assistants working on the front line. Professional third-party teams were involved in the production.

Lead character Li Jianguo was played by a police officer with five years real life experience and fond of performing in his spare time.
