The feeling when a holiday is fast approaching and you just can’t wait to have a whole day to yourself….. That feeling! Monday will be that magnificent day, blessed to anchor the National Labour Day on every first day in May.

Although I may be stoked about the day, it is more likely that I might arrange so many plans and cancel last minute because I overslept or just wasn’t in the mood to go out. But staying at home and relaxing is out of the question in this article. The vast landmass awaits some good loving adventure and that is why I will recommend that we all take the chance to plan a trip or travel long into the beauty of China; and what better time to do so than in the photogenic worthy, comfy-clothing acceptable weather of Spring!
Taking trips has gotten easier recently with the help of travel guides and tour groups that make it their job to give you a good time. However, it wouldn’t hurt to organize an outing with coworkers and friends who make the fun memories count. Even more, there is definitely no hassle if you’d like to spend the day with a spouse or the family. Either ways, go out!

Tragically missing your flight or train just because you were a few minutes late, will not only be such a huge waste of time, but also, the financial loss you may incur in preparation and finally getting to book after long hours of waiting will be a big blow. Also, being in a densely populated country like this, it will be for your own good to skip some human and most likely, vehicular traffic to the airport or train station. Making sure to arrive on time is crucial to your holiday happiness, especially when traveling by air or rail.
Drive safely

Don’t use the holidays to take a field trip from driving with care; it may cost you a permanent return trip back home or worst still, your life and that of others. Always remember road safety rules and take precautionary measures when you are being faced with other peoples’ reckless behavior on the road.
Stay away from the wheel after you have taken alcohol during your hangout. A better option may be to call a taxi if you are by yourself. In the event that you will be driving long distances, please clean your vehicle’s lights and windows for clearer vision at night and try to make frequent stops. Fill up your vehicle’s gas tank as well- you don’t want to get stranded in the middle of nowhere.
Pay attention to the weather

It is important to check the weather forecast for the day before stepping out; that way you can prepare ahead of the circumstance. For instance, if a sunny weather is expected to change in the evening, you can guard yourself by placing a portable umbrella in your backpack, in case you might come home late.
More importantly, if you are taking a trip to another geographically dissimilar location, don’t forget to read the weather forecast for that territory so you are not taken off guard.
Carry these along

You will presumably take along with you, some snacks and water when taking a trip. However, you are missing something else. A disaster kit (or what the Red Cross like to call, Emergency Preparedness Kit) is very necessary in case of an emergency especially on trips like snowboarding, mountain hikes, among others.
A disaster kit may include, but not be restricted to, a flashlight, copies of personal documents like an ID card, family and emergency contact information, a first aid kit, medical items and sanitation and personal hygiene items. If you have any prescribed medications or allergy medications, don’t forget those either.
Let someone know

Don’t just wake up, pack up and leave. Please remember to inform somebody about your trip. Let someone know your destination and your route, that way, if you get stuck along the way, help can be sent along your predetermined route.
Nobody really likes it when scenic venues get over crowded and the road is jammed with traffic, but we may not be lucky enough to get another holiday soon. Good times only come our way when we are also willing to step out of our comfort zones and make them. However, don’t forget these safety tips, wherever you intend to go to this holiday. We are hoping for the best but must expect the worst in every situation for the benefit that we can control them. A comment below to share your holiday plans will be deeply appreciated.
