A recent video clip shows the woman having four leeches placed on her face by a beautician who claimed they could suck away her pimples slowly.
The beautician also claimed that there would be no complications following the ‘thousand-year-old’ therapy.
Footage uploaded on qq.com on September 18 shows the woman remaining calm while four green leeches wriggle on her forehead, cheeks and chin.

The beautician can be heard telling the woman that the leeches can make her skin smoother. The worms can also remove age spots, said the beautician.
‘There’s no side effects or complications, it’s all natural,’ she claimed as she used a cotton bud to position the leeches.

According to the NHS, leeches can be used in medicine, in particular plastic and reconstructive surgery, to help improve blood flow in an area of tissue or skin flap that has poor blood circulation.
However, risks such as infections and bleeding can be associated with leech therapy and patients should understand the procedure fully beforehand.
The NHS did not state if leech therapy can be useful in curing acne.
