He fled after one of his alleged victims contacted the police in June last year, sparking an investigation.
Chinese authorities picked up the case after Interpol issued a red notice for the fugitive in June, a month after he arrived in Shanghai. He was “immediately” detained, the report said, though it did not elaborate.

China had always refused to be a “paradise for fugitives” an unnamed official was quoted as saying.
The suspect’s extradition was evidence that Beijing was implementing the consensus reached at the US-China Law Enforcement and Cybersecurity Dialogue held in Washington earlier this month, he said.
