Chinese Work Visa

Foreigners who work in China and obtain remuneration for their work shall obtain a work permit and work residence certificate (collectively referred to as "work visa") in advance according to regulations before they can legally work in China. Foreigners with work visas can travel to and from China and other countries for many times during the validity period, and do not need to apply for additional visas. Foreigners who apply for work permit and residence permit for the first time are generally valid for 12 months and can apply for extension upon expiration.

Criteria for type a work permit:

At present, the most common type of talents are highly paid foreigners who meet the following salary standards:

The annual wage income shall be more than 600000 yuan, and the annual personal income tax shall be more than 120000 yuan. Other more class talent standards:

If the foreigner himself or the company employing the foreigner meets any of the following conditions, it shall be determined as class A:

A1 – foreign talent plan or honor specially introduced by local governments in China

A2 – foreigners have won international professional awards

A3 – employing foreign companies that meet certain standards

A4 – Foreigners' innovation and entrepreneurship in China

A5 – foreign super high education talents

A6 – calculated point integral is greater than 85 points according to "table of scoring and assignment of integral elements"

If you do not meet the criteria for type a work permit, check that you are eligible for any of the following type B work permits:

B1 – foreigners have a bachelor's degree and 2 years of full-time relevant work experience after graduation

B2 – foreign blue collar technical workers (holding the international general vocational skill qualification certificate) who have 2 years of full-time relevant work experience and whose average wage income is not less than 4 times of the social average wage income of the region in the previous year .

B3 – foreign language teaching staff. Foreign language teaching personnel shall be engaged in the teaching of the native language, and have a bachelor's degree or above and more than 2 years of language teaching experience. Among them, those who have obtained bachelor's degree or above in education, language or normal education, or have obtained the qualification certificate of teachers in the host country or have obtained the required national language teaching certificate (such as the recognized TEFL or TESOL Certificate, the requirement of more than 2 years of language teaching experience can be exempted).

If class B work permit standards are not met, check the following class C work permit standards:

C1. Foreigners study in China and obtain bachelor's degree or higher (graduated from any university in China and within one year).

C2. Foreigners study in China and obtain a master's degree or higher (with an average score of no less than 80 points / 100 points, or B + / B or above, graduated from any university in China and within one year after graduation).
