Arsene Wenger’s side went through their paces in the heat at the Yuanshen stadium on Monday before trio Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Mohamed Elneny visited a tea ceremony.

Meanwhile, Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain attended an Arsenal fan party at a hotel, where the FA Cup was on show following their tournament triumph last season. They beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley.

Giroud, Koscielny and Elneny also came bearing gifts to their tea party – handing their hosts a Gunners shirt signed by the squad.

Arsenal’s pre-season started in Australia, where they recorded a 2-0 win over Sydney and a 3-1 victory over Western Sydney Warriors.

Their first match in China is on Wednesday when they play Bayern Munich at the Shanghai Stadium.
